Members of the MPR City Council, city staff, Planning & Zoning Commission, Library Board and Economic Development Corporation met to create a three year strategic plan of economic development for Morgan’s Point Resort.
Thirty five public servants, volunteers and interested citizens participated.
The meeting was facilitated by Alysia Cook, PCED, IOM, of Opportunity Strategies LLC, an expert on economic development in Texas, facilitated the meeting.
Jill Ross, principal of the new Lake Belton High School, also participated and shared the current status of the high school’s construction as well as information on the eight tracks of the planned CTE (Career and Technical Education) program.
Mark Allyn, newly appointed Executive Director of the MPR EDC, was introduced.
A draft three year strategic plan was created and will be published and shared with the community once completed, estimated to be early March.
